Mizuna Rocks

Laura and I (bonnanoRichard) would like to thank Frank Bonanno for a wonderful time on Saturday at his restaurant Mizuna. He made three fantastic dishes during a private function, to help support Children’s Hospital, with us and a couple of our “foodie” friends. First we had the soft goat cheese and mushroom omelet topped with arugula and a vinaigrette dressing, then on to a Pasta con Elote that just melted in your mouth (could have had a lot more of this . Last was a nicely grilled flank steak sliced over the top of creamy polenta. Kelly Wooldridge, the Court of Master Sommelier, introduced us to a number of red and white wines plus provided the entertainment for the afternoon; we sampled the 2013 Rheingau Riesling, 2011 Chassagne-Montrachet, 2010 Blaufrankisch, 2012 Ridge Zinfandel and the Keber Collio. We also want to thank the staff at Mizuna for coming in early to help provide us with this once in a life time experience.
