As a business owner, you must protect your business from cyber attacks and maintain a srong network defense through a multi-layered defense solution.

The technology experts at Radiant, manufacturers of Aloha, have developed Radiant Security Services (RSS), which goes beyond providing PA-DSS validated POS restaurant operators protect their networks and ultimately their business. Aloha Tech Tip: Printer Care & Troubleshooting

  • Blow out your printers every couple of months with air.
  • Look for paper jams.
  • Change printer ribbons at the first signs of wear. Ribbons will start to shred and create ribbon lint which can jam the gears.
  • Are you getting an error message on any terminals? Remember GC means Guest Check, not Gift Certificate
  • Does the printer have paper? Are you using the right paper for the printer?
  • Is the paper jammed?
  • Are all of the cords tightly tugged in?
  • Did you do a self-test? (Turn the printer off, hold the feed button down and turn the printer on)
  • Did you try plugging it into a different outlet?
  • Switch the communication cable with another printer? Does it work now?
